Our History
Tracy McLaughlin opened Waterdown Massage Therapy in October 1999. The
clinic and pilates studio are located in an historic house built in the
1860s, a setting that reflects Tracy’s vision of massage therapy... to provide
an outstanding service in a calm, comfortable atmosphere with attention to
the highest level of professionalism and personal integrity.
The exceptional team of therapists that Tracy has assembled over the years
boasts an impressive list of clients now exceeding 3,000 in number. These
include children with growing pains, students who carry heavy backpacks,
stressed out working parents, athletes, pregnant women, doctors, dentists,
truck drivers, artists, musicians, and retired folks... anyone and everyone
ranging in age from 4 to 84! Why have we been so successful? Great people
with great hands who do great work!
Our Work
Stress reduction is the most obvious benefit of massage therapy. Stress is
at the root of many of today’s health problems. Managing stress
appropriately may prevent upsetting the body’s delicate balance which can
give rise to disease.
Massage therapy is effective in the treatment of several specific problems,

Treatments are tailored to meet your specific needs and, when appropriate,
the therapist will recommend exercises, home-care, and/or complementary
therapy in an effort to allow you to actively participate in your own health
care. While you are welcome to make an appointment without a doctor’s
referral, we often work in conjunction with your family physician,
chiropractor, or physiotherapist to optimize your progress toward optimal
health.

Although massage therapy is not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Program, many extended health care plans provide full or partial coverage for employees and their immediate family members. Check with your employer for details and to determine if a physician’s referral is required.
We accept Visa, debit, cheque or cash, and welcome Motor Vehicle Accident Claims, WSIB Claims, and Veterans Affairs Claims.
